QUICK, BEFORE SIGN-UPS CLOSE, JOIN TEAM ERIDAN <3 ROXY! WE NEED YOU!
Reasons these two would be awesome together:
- WIZARDS. God they love wizards. Dorky wizard fans are adorable, and they’re more adorable together.
- Even though they’re both wizard enthusiasts, they also both really like SCIENCE. If a shared interest in laser rifles can’t bring two people together, what can?
- They both like to GAME. Eridan’s an extreme role player and Roxy is a Gamer GRRL. A few friendly games could turn into flirty ones.
- Eridan is a fan of HISTORY and Roxy is described as loving the vintage and NOSTALGIC. With this many shared interests, they’d never run out of things to talk about.
- SCARVES. I don’t think I need to say any more.
- We know they’d dig each other due to their CANONICAL UNREQUITED CRUSHES. Eridan has feelings for a bubbly, energetic girl who keeps a lot of pets and likes to take care of people. Roxy has feelings for a stoic history buff with signature eye-wear. The solution to their dilemma is obvious.
- They’re both really eager to MAKE OUT WITH SOMEONE. Why not each other?
- She DRINKS LIKE A FISH and he IS A FISH.
- There’s also a lot of potential for SERIOUS CHARACTER EXPLORATION. Eridan may have a genocide complex, but how would he react to Roxy’s story as a genocide survivor? Could he overcome his loathing of landdwellers for a girl who understands being lonely like he does? Could Roxy overcome reservations about fishy aliens after living under the Batterwitch’s regime? How does loving a troll factor in Roxy’s desire to have a family?
- They work in interesting ways with OTHER RELATIONSHIPS. How would Roxy feel about Feferi, considering her relationship the other two Pisces-emblazoned trolls? How would she fit into Eridan and Sollux’s rivalry with all her HaXX0r skillz?
You might be saying, “But, one of them is dead!” Aha, but when has that ever stopped us? Or stopped the comic, for that matter? Jake/Aranea, anyone? Plus, what’s once dead doesn’t always stay that way in Homestuck.
